THE ROOFTOPS are excited to announce the official Brisbane launch of their much-anticipated full-length album 'A Hundred Different Lives'. Featuring their first single, the catchy anthem to Brisbane, 'Something So Familiar' and ten other crowd favourites, the album was recorded in Sydney with producer Mr.Percival.

The band are having a special launch party at Barsoma on 21st October, complete with an expanded lineup, including backup singers and a string quartet. The intimate show will be recorded for a live release and film clip! Also performing on the night will be the Bowery's The Gonzalez 3 and seriously funky deejays, Danny Cool and Paprika.

The album title 'A Hundred Different Lives' is a lyric from one of the tracks, 'Rice', which is the inspiring story of a man's struggle to survive the Cambodian civil war. In fact, every song on the album is inspired from someone's life and in the lead up to the launch, The Rooftops are asking fans via facebook to complete a list of 100 inspiring people - a hundred different lives.

Speaking of inspiring stories, the evening also co-incides with a very important anniversary of a close friend to the band, who was diagnosed with cancer exactly 5 years ago. Officially, this is her 'cure' date and to celebrate, there will be a special live dedication with the song 'Better Days'. The song is available for free download on The Rooftops' website until the launch date: www.totherooftops.com
